How HEIC to JPG Converter Works

This tool runs entirely client-side: your HEIC file is never uploaded to a server. HEIC files use Apple's HEIF container format, which most browsers and non-Apple software cannot display natively.

The tool uses heic2any, a JavaScript library that decodes HEIC/HEIF image data directly in the browser, converting the compressed image data into a standard raster format your browser can render and export.

Once decoded, the image is re-encoded as a JPG at your chosen quality level and made available for download — the whole process, from decoding the proprietary HEIC data to producing the final JPG, runs locally without any server involvement.
