How It Works
How Split PDF Works
After upload, the tool reads the PDF's total page count so you can choose how to split it: "Individual" creates one file per page, "Every N pages" creates equal-sized chunks (e.g. every 5 pages), and "Ranges" lets you specify custom page groups like 1-3, 4-10, 11-15.
For each requested piece, the relevant pages are imported into a new PDF document preserving their original size, orientation, and content — no re-rendering or quality loss.
When splitting produces more than one output file, they are bundled together into a single ZIP download so you get everything in one file.
Worked Example
See It In Action
A 20-page report split with "Every N pages" set to 5 produces 4 separate PDFs of 5 pages each (pages 1–5, 6–10, 11–15, 16–20), delivered together in one ZIP file.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between "Every N pages" and "Ranges"?
"Every N pages" automatically divides the document into equal chunks of a fixed size. "Ranges" lets you manually specify exactly which pages go into each output file, useful when sections aren't equal length (e.g. chapters).
Can I extract just one page from a PDF?
Yes — use "Ranges" and enter a single page number (e.g. "4"), or use "Individual" to get every page as its own separate file at once.
How do I download the split files?
When the split produces multiple files, they are automatically packaged into a single ZIP archive so you can download everything in one step.
