Information We Collect

Files you upload to our PDF and image tools. When you use a tool such as Merge PDF, Split PDF, Compress PDF, or one of our image conversion tools, the file you upload is processed only for the duration of that request in order to generate your result. We do not require an account to use these tools, and we do not build a permanent library of files you've processed. Uploaded files are handled as temporary data for the single operation you requested — they are not reviewed by staff, not used for any purpose beyond producing the output you asked for, and are not knowingly retained on our servers after your session ends.

Because this is a technical characteristic of how the tools are built rather than a manual process, we cannot guarantee an exact deletion timestamp for every file in every situation (for example, if a request fails partway through). If you upload a document containing sensitive information, treat it the same way you would with any general-purpose online tool: avoid uploading anything you would not want processed by third-party server infrastructure at all.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers automatically log standard technical data for every request — your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this only for site operation, security (detecting abuse of upload endpoints), and understanding aggregate usage of which tools are popular.

Information you provide directly. If you contact us, register for an account, or fill in a form field on a calculator (for example, a mortgage amount or a due date), that information is used only to generate the result you asked for or to respond to you. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser or in a single server request and are not linked to your identity or stored in a permanent profile unless you have explicitly created an account.

EEA/UK visitors (GDPR). You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion of it; restrict or object to certain processing; and request a portable copy of data you've provided. Because we do not require an account to use our tools and do not build persistent profiles from anonymous visits, in most cases we hold very little personal data tied to an identifiable individual.

California visitors (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined under California law — this may include the use of advertising cookies described above). We do not sell personal information for money.

Data Retention & Security

Retention. Uploaded files: not knowingly retained beyond the processing request described above. Server logs: kept only as long as needed for security and operational purposes, then rotated out. Contact messages: kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Account data (if you register): kept until you delete your account or request deletion.

Security. We serve the site over HTTPS and take reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit and on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — if you believe your data has been compromised through this site, please contact us immediately.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our tools, advertising partners, or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page reflects the last substantive revision. Material changes will be reflected here — we encourage checking this page periodically.
