How It Works

How PDF to PowerPoint Works

This conversion happens entirely client-side: nothing is uploaded to a server. PDF.js renders each page of your PDF onto an HTML canvas locally in your browser, the same rendering engine used by the PDF to JPG tool.

Each rendered page is exported from its canvas as a JPEG image, then PptxGenJS — a JavaScript library for building PowerPoint files — creates one new slide per page and places that page's image full-bleed across the slide.

Because each slide is really a full-page picture rather than editable text and shapes, the visual layout of the original PDF is preserved exactly, but text on the slides is not selectable or editable inside PowerPoint afterward — think of it as "PDF pages inside a PPTX shell."

Worked Example

See It In Action

A 12-page PDF slide deck exported from another tool as a flattened PDF can be converted back into a 12-slide PPTX file, letting you reorder, present, or add new slides around the original content in PowerPoint, even though the original slide text isn't editable.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the text on the slides be editable in PowerPoint?
No — each slide is a full-page image of the original PDF page, not reconstructed text boxes, so you can't click into and edit individual words. You can still add new slides, reorder them, or annotate on top.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No — the entire conversion (rendering pages and building the .pptx file) runs locally in your browser using PDF.js and PptxGenJS.
What if I need fully editable slides, not just images?
This tool is designed for preserving visual layout exactly, which requires trading off editability. If you need editable text and shapes, you'll need to recreate the slide content manually in PowerPoint.
